DJ Paints sells many chemical-based products online and are obliged to comply with the UK Health and Safety Law. It is our responsibility to pass health and safety information on from manufacturers to our customers where it is made available for us to do so.

We ask that if any customer is unsure on any health and safety aspect of a product that they have purchased, to contact us with a query before use. DJ Paints will seek the information on behalf of the customer and aim to respond within 48 hours.

DJ Paints cannot be held responsible for any injury caused by the misuse of our products, or any misguidance supplied to our customers from our manufacturers.

We cannot guarantee the accuracy of the health and safety information on this website although every effort is made to keep the information up to date.

Safety information can be found on most of our product listings in a PDF document or on the packaging that is delivered with your order.

All of our Paint and Chemical products are intended for use by trained professionals only to minimise the risk of misuse and injury.

All chemical products should be locked away and stored in a dark, cold fireproof area away from sources of heat.

Vehicle Refinishing Regulations on Solvent Based Products

It is against the law to use non-compliant solvent based paint and materials for refinishing / restoration of motor vehicles, unless the vehicle is classified as vintage ( over 30 years old )or classic Exceptions:

(1) None compliant vehicle paint / materials manufactured before 1 January 2007 can still be sold and purchased until stocks have depleted

(2) To avoid the environmental consequences of disposing of none compliant materials Defra and the Welsh assembly granted permission ( August 2007 ) for Auto body repair / refinishing garages to use up any existing none compliant materials they have in stock. We can supply a full range of compliant materials to suite all our customers requirements including Water based paint. What is not included? Certain products, including plastic adhesion systems and polishes are excluded from the legislation. The legislation does not cover the repair coating of industrial projects, motor bikes, historic motor cars or any agricultural machinery, such as tractors.
